This Warm Waxing Beauty Therapy Award can be studied either as a solo course (just yourself) or bespoke course (with friends, family or colleagues). We also offer Professional Salon Training for staff members either at your own premisis or at one of our many Academies.
Waxing is an excellent addition to any treatment menu and provides repeat business as it is an essential maintenence option for many clients.
The GTi Waxing Course meets the Habia National Occupational Standards and covers the various types of hair removal, anatomy and physiology, skin disorders and diseases, contra-actions and contra-indications, reception, consultation, ventilation, technique, male waxing and aftercare.
The course teaches everything you need to know about carrying out a professional waxing service on different areas of the body including the legs, bikini line, underarms and facial waxing.
The Award is fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body, for membership and insurance purposes. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a full-colour certificate for a GTi Award in Warm Waxing Treatments.
Other Information
The course is beautifully written and accompanied by images, video clips and a voice-over to give you the best possible learning experience. Upon completion of the online theory modules, you will receive a PDF manual which you can refer back to. All of the modules and examinations are completed online with full online support available.
The GTi Warm Waxing Course includes the GTi Professional Standards course for students who have not previously completed this course.
Please note: Once you have booked on this course you will then need to register online with the BeautyGuild prior to begining your study. This costs just £25 +vat and is a one-off payment. This payment gives you access to their Professional Standards course that is taken online before you start your related theory and practical.

Yes of course. As this is a solo course you'll receive focused guidance and individual attention from our teacher. You will also be taught a complete therapy treatment routine for delivering to your clients.
You will learn the same practical skills as with a longer course but you'll need to practice the treatment routine upon friends and family, using your manual.
You're always welcome to return and attend only the practical training again. This is known as a refresher course and allows you to brush up on the techniques you have learned with us. Refresher courses are only available to students who have previously completed their course with us, and substantial discounts are offered.
No, this is a GTi Award. These courses are also known as ‘short courses’ or ‘fast-track training’. However, the treatment techniques you'll learn are similar, and in some cases more extensive than on a level 3 course.
No, you don't need a level 3 qualification in order to deliver this therapy professionally. However, some employers and some London Borough Councils may specify a level 3 qualification as a requirement.
You will be provided with your manual in PDF format and once you’ve read it you will be able to complete your on-line test paper at the GTi website. Our administration team will also chat with you to let you know what to bring so that you are perfectly prepared and have a great time.
Yes you do. When attending your practical training you will need to bring along your own make-up brush set, brush cleaner, spatulas and make-up remover wipes. If you do not wish to provide make-up remover wipes, please provide your own face cleanser, toner and moisturiser. More information regarding from where to purchase this equipment will be given once you have registered for this course.
Theory & Practical
You will study your theory online via the GTi website and be given access to download your training materials. There is an online test that you must complete before attending your practical training. It is easily completed with between 8-12 hours of study time. For some people it may take a little longer.

The Theory Test
You'll be able to create an account with the Beauty Guild and complete the theory test online from the comfort of your own home.
Practical Instruction
When attending the day of practical training you'll receive expert guidance from our qualified and experienced tutor. There is no practical test... instead you're ability to understand and demonstrate each technique is assessed as you are learning.
Your Award
Once you've passed both the theory and practical assessment your GTi Award ploma will be emailed to you from the GTi. You can then obtain professional therapist insurance and begin to offer treatments.
